Equestrian Tournament of Champions

2011 IHSA Tournament of Champions Pre-season Classic (Sept. 24)

Fifteen teams came to Otterbein’s Center for Equine Studies on Sept. 24 to compete in the 2011 Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) Tournament of Champions Pre-season Classic. Teams included Cornell University, University of Louisville, University of Massachusetts, Miami University of Ohio, University of Michigan, Mount Holyoke, Northern Illinois University, Ohio University, Otterbein University, Purdue University, Virginia Intermont, Virginia Tech, West Virginia University, University of Wisconsin and Xavier University.

The new Otterbein University Equine Center was a beautiful and fitting site for the Tournament, and horses were very solid in their jobs.  Besides Otterbein, horses came from Miami, Yinger Equestrian (an IEA team in the area), and Sid Griffith Equestrian (a local IEA barn that is the new home to Ohio State hunter team, although OSU declined invitation because they just started school last week.)
